I was approached by Tiffany Murphy and Dr Hannah Field at the University of Sussex to help brand their research project ‘Promiscuous Print’. The research sets out to uncover the publications that UK copyright libraries rejected during the 19th century, exploring why they were rejected and how that has changed over time.
It was wonderful to collaborate with Tiffany and Hannah. The logo has parts of the letters subtly missing as a nod to the rejected texts. The stroke mark from the logo can be repositioned and used as a graphic device, like stacked books or a tab over imagery - as though book-marking them.
They then took the branded elements to build the site - find out more at promiscuousprint.com
This was such a fun project to work on, and a huge thanks to Tiffany and Hannah for trusting me to help bring their vision to life!
